these are posted several pictures from the various Cruise lines that came out in spring. One of their favorite shows was the disastrous Dior show that had these crazy shoes on several of their models:
Now, we can barely walk in stilettos by themselves, but gluing marble-like balls to the bottom is just asking for a tumble. And tumble, some of them did:
This poor girl fell more than once, actually. And she wasn't the only one. Rumor has it that amongst the gasps and incredulous sighs of the audience were a few tears over the "professionalism" of the fallen models.
Well, I guess nobody learned from the Dior show about crazy shoes, or at least Marc Jacobs didn't. Here are a few choice pictures from his recent New York Fashion Week runway:
Now, we think that Marc Jacobs is a genius, but we also think that occasionally he is a mad genius. We don't understand the need for gimmicks here. His clothes generally speak for themselves and he doesn't need to take plain patent-leather pumps and make them into a contraption that most women could never walk in. Either he ran out of ideas or he wanted to detract from the clothes. We will cover the clothes in a future blog and let you decide for yourself.
