How to Dress For Salsa Dancing

Diposting oleh shimmer di 10.00

You don't want to look like a gringo on the salsa dance floor. Knowing the salsa "dos' and "don'ts" will help you cut a flashy figure, just like the seasoned pros!

1

Go for ease of movement. No matter how cute the style, if you can't move your arms comfortably in it or do those dips and twirls, it won't work. When possible, choose stretchy fabrics with give-and-take.

2

Sex it up. Salsa plays up a woman's femininity and a man's masculinity in the eternal dance of love. Ladies, a skimpy top that features your decolletage is essential (push-up bras can help). Gents, look for body-hugging shirts and non-baggy pants.

3

Step out. Shoes are everything in salsa! Flats and clunky heels for women and athletic shoes for men (unless they're the dance variety) just won't cut it. See Resources for sleek, strappy, sexy varieties.

4

Put it all together. Ladies, pair a low-cut halter top with a midriff-baring pant or just-above-the-knee swingy skirt. Guys, top a pair of nice trousers with a sleek, Latin-inspired shirt.
